NYX The Face Glue Setting Spray

This is a new product that I have added to my makeup kit. I usually use the Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray by Charlotte Tilbury, which is phenomenal, by the way (review coming soon). However, I decided to give this more wallet-friendly version a try, and I am glad that I did. It works very well and gives your makeup a nice finish, bringing everything together as a final touch. My makeup lasts just as long as it does with my usual setting spray. To get the maximum benefit, I suggest that you use a good primer, along with your setting spray to help your makeup last all day and into the evening. When I use this combination, I rarely need to touch up my makeup or do any blotting. NYX claims that it can help makeup last up to twenty-four hours and is waterproof. While I cannot attest to it helping makeup last twenty-four hours as I remove my makeup in the evenings after work, I can tell you that is has serious staying power. It retails on the NYX website for $10.00. However, you can save a little by purchasing on Amazon for $9.97 or $9.47 with a subscription. So,if you are aiming to be more conscious and intentional with your spending, I would give this high-performing, budget-friendly option a try.

Caudalie Grape Water Review

This product is more a of splurge, but so worth it if you want to treat yourself. This is a grape water spray that soothes your skin, moisturizes, and provides antioxidant protection. I love using this on hot summer days as a refresher or as a last step in my skincare routine to helps my products absorb better into my skin. Caudalie states that this product helps to improve skin sensitivity and it drastically improves skin hydration. I do find that it helps in both of those regards and it is just nice, luxurious feeling, part of my skincare/self-care routine. It retails for $20 and is worth adding to your self-care budget.

Tula Skincare Filter Primer Review

Spring is here! As the weather heats up, you will need to ensure that you have products in your makeup tool kit that will help your makeup stay in place and last throughout the day. For this reason, I am highly recommending the Tula Filter Primer. This primer is my go-to primer to help my makeup last all day long, even on those extra warm Florida days. This primer is both blurring and moisuturing which my combination, acne prone skin loves. It contains probiotics and licorice to help improve your skin tone over time. There have been days when I have only applied this primer, lightly, without any additional makeup and gone about my day. It definitely helps even things out and brighten your skin when you want a more natuarl, no makeup look. It comes in a variety of shades, so you can choose the one that best suits your skin tone. This product retails for $38.00 on the Tula website and on Amazon. You can click the button below to check it out for yourself!

Soap and Glory Heel Genius Hydrating Foot Cream Review

I love this foot cream so much, I have given it away in gift baskets. It contains macadamia oil and fruit acids to help smooth your feet and it has definitely done the job for my feet. Applied daily or after a good foot filing, it leaves my feet feeling and looking healthy and beautiful. It has menthol in it for cooling, but I have not experienced that effect. However, what I did experience was moisturized skin, which was the sole reason I tried this product in the first place. It retails for $7.99 and up depending on where you buy it. Get your feet ready for summer and sandals! You can get it for $7.98 at Amazon by clicking the button below.

Queen Tape Review:

I know many of you may not consider using a mouthtape, but hear me out. I am a snorer. I often wake up during the night with a dry mouth and throat. When I use this product, I can attest that I don't wake up in the night feigning for water. I also feel that I wake up less during the night, so it has helped with my sleep quality in that regard.  As far as other claims about improving the appearance of the jawline and improving oral health, the jury is still out on that claim.  However, if I find it to be true, I will update this review. The material is breathable and does not dry out my lips (tip: apply a lip mask to your lips about twenty minutes before applying the tape.  Be sure to dab off the majority of the lip mask with a tissue, leaving a light layer). However, it is mouth tape, so you will be taping your mouth closed (you should have your lips comfortably closed when applying the mouth strip) while breathing through your nose.  If you have a stuffy nose or cannot breathe through your nose for other reasons, just avoid it until you can breathe freely through your nostrils. It retails for $15.00 on the Queen Tape website. It is currently $11.89 on Amazon. To give it a try for yourself and form your own opinion, click the link below.

Shea Moisture Even Tone Deodorant Stick Review:

I have been a Native Deodorant user for a very long time. Years ago, I developed an infection under one of my armpits from scratching and I had been going back and forth to the hospital to visit with my mom at the time. Since battling that infection (it was a months-long battle), I have had difficulty finding deodorants that worked for me.  The usual drugstore deodorants just were not cutting it. So, then came Native, and I  finally found something that worked for me (review on that brand another time). Fast forward years later, I went to a festival and I received this deodorant as part of a swag bag. I gave it a try and my goodness, I loved it!  It actually worked just as well or better than my beloved Native!  It has a very nice, clean scent, goes on smoothly, and lasts all day.  It contains vitamin C and niacinamide to help even out the armpit skin tone. The company states that it can last 72 hours.  I cannot speak to this as I have not worn it that long without showing and reapplying.  However, it does last, as I previously stated.  It retails for $9.28 and up.  Amazon currently has it at the cheapest price of $9.28. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm Review:

Ahh, the Farmacy Beauty Green Clean Cleansing Balm. I love this company, from their products to their environmentally friendly packaging. This is another company who's products rarely miss and this product is definitely a hit! This was the first cleansing balm that I ever used and it is still my OG go-to. I use this to remove my makeup before cleansing. It is great for removing mascara, even the waterproof type that I usually wear. It is a very smooth formula that does not irritate my skin or my eyes. I am not a makeup wipes kind of girl and I don't need to be with this better-for-your-skin, environment-friendly option. It contains supergreens, which provide the skin with antioxidants. It retails for $39.  Yes, it is a pricer product but well worth it in my opinion.  Give it a try for yourself.

CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser Review

This is my daily morning cleanser. Although I am in my forties, I have acne-prone skin. My breakouts are not as bad now as they were when I was younger.  However, those pesky pimples still make an appearance every now and again. To combat this issue, one of the products I use is this cleanser.  It is light, has a very mild scent, and cleanses my skin well without leaving it feeling stripped. It contains ceramides and salicylic acid (an ingredient that I adore). This cleanser is for normal skin, but it works well my combination skin, ever-evolving skin. If you are breakout-prone, like I am you should give this product a try. It is readily available and retails for $12.99 and up depending on where you purchase it.  Amazon has it priced at $12.37 for the 8oz bottle and $13.93 for the 16oz bottle. Check it out at the link below if you would like more information.

PMD Clean Review

I must say that I really enjoy using the cleansing brush.  It feels like it is made of a very smooth silicone and it fits nicely in my hand.  It comes with a little base to sit it in, which keeps it upright and allows it to air dry.  Now for the good stuff!  It is aids in getting a deeper clean and I love the massaging action. It is like I am giving my face a massage each day because, well, I am. I feel that it increases blood flow to my face, which is a bonus for me.  The company states that it "delivers 7,000 vibrations per minute to deeply cleanse, lift, firm, and tone."  The company also claims that it reduces oil congestion and minimizes blackheads.  I don't have issues with blackhead to often, thankfully, but I can tell you that I agree with the other claims. I feel that it helps with toning my face, especially around my chin area.  Of course, I have been using this device for quite some time now and true results comes with consistent use.  However, I strongly feel that you would enjoy the daily facial massages and the deeper cleansing right away!  This is a splurge purchase as it is priced at $99 currently.  I purchased mine through Ipsy years ago (I am not certain if they still carry this item).  However, you can get it at Amazon by clicking the link below.  If you decide to treat yourself, please let me know what you think!

Good Molecules Niacinamide Brightening Toner Review

This is another product that I have been using for years as it is just soooo good!  I have used a number of products from Good Molecules and they rarely miss for me.  This toner does exactly what they claim. It is gentle on my skin, helps with hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, dark spots, enlarged pores, dullness and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed.  I use this after cleansing, either directly with my hands or with a cotton pad.  It comes in a nice-sized bottle at a great price.  It retails for $14.00, which is something else I love about Good Molecules, their prices are reasonable for what you get!  What do you get you ask?  Products of excellent quality that actually do what it is claimed to do.  Again, this is not a paid promotion.  I just like to share what works for me and I am passionate about it.  So, I hope you will give this a try.  If you have enjoyed the content, please consider subscribing to our monthly newsletter by hitting the button at the bottom of the page.  Keep glowing!

Everyday Humans: Oh My Bod! SPF50 Body Sunscreen Review

I have used this body sunscreen for years now.  It is my go-to whether I am heading to the beach, or going for an outdoor walk downtown.  It has never left a white cast and it has a sun protection factor (SPF) of 50 and protects against UVA and UVB rays! It goes on much more smoothly than other body sunscreens and has a very mild scent. It is, reportedly, water-proof up to eighty minutes, plenty of time to get a good swim in!  The company also reports that it is non-irritating and does not sting the eyes.  I use another sunscreen for my face (see below).  However, I have tried this on my face and can report that I did not have any irritation nor did I experience stinging in or around my eye area, which is very sensitive.  It contains hyaluronic acid which is very hydrating and soothing, a perk that I love! I keep a tube in my arsenal so that I am prepared for outdoor activities.  It retails for $17.50. However, it is selling on Amazon for $15.99. If you give it a try, please join our community by tapping the button at the bottom of the screen and let me know your thoughts.  Thanks for reading!

Tula Skincare: Protect + Glow Sunscreen Gel Review

Disclaimer: I am a huge fan of Tula's products.  My fandom stems from the quality and performance of their line. Now, before you ask, no, I am not being paid; I wish lol.  I am truly in love with this brand and rightfully so.  I have adored all of their products except one; I tried a few of their eye cream sticks and they did not agree with me (which is why it is important to test all products before use as we are all different and you must ensure that a product is safe for YOU to use). With that said, this sunscreen is the business!  It wears well alone or under makeup and has never left a white cast on my skin. It is a broad spectrum sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30, protecting from both UVA and UVB rays.  Additionally, it offers protection from pollution and blue light. The gel formula goes on smoothly and is not sticky at all.  It has a very light scent that I barely notice upon application. To top it all off, it contains probiotic extracts and superfoods like pineapple and papaya.  It also contains wild butterfly ginger root which is known to have anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, and antioxidant properties.  Butterfly ginger root, also known as white ginger lily, is also a very hydrating ingredient and this is the ingredient that protects against air pollution and blue light.  So, even if you work at a computer all day like I do, you still need this protection.  I can also attest from personal use that this product works well whether I am spending a day at the beach, attending a festival, or working out outdoors.  It is great for daily use and when I apply it I apply the product to my face and neck (I use a separate body sunscreen as needed).  It retails for $38, but worth the price for such a great sunscreen.  Besides, a little goes a long way. So, give it a try.  I think you will be pleased!  Thanks for reading and if you enjoy this content, please subscribe to our newsletter for more exclusive content by clicking the button below!

Product Review:

Megababe Bust Dust Anti-Boob Sweat Powder

I have been using this product for quite some time now.  I am Florida girl with quite large boobs. It gets HOT in Florida and I like to stay as fresh and dry as possible. This product helps tremendously!  I apply this under my boob, either directly with my hands or I use a big puff; it works fine either way. Just apply a light layer under both boobs before putting on your bra. As far as scent goes, it does not really have much of a scent to me, though it has lavender and chamomile in the formulation.  According to Megababe, lavender was added for its antiseptic properties and chamomile was added to calm any redness/irritation. It also contains aloe to soothe the skin and corn starch to absorb sweat. According to the brand, it does not contain the following:

  • Aluminum
  • Talc
  • Parabens
  • Phtalates
  • Sulfates
  • Synthetic Fragrance

It is also touted as being an ultrafine powder and I agree with this. It does not show through clothing (again, you should only apply a light layer under both boobs). I noticed that my bras smell so much fresher after removal when I use this product and I have not had an issue with any buildup or staining of my bras.  This would be a great addition to your routine in any climate, but I feel it is a must in a warm climate.  It is also reasonably priced at $16.  However, when I went to look up how much I paid at Ulta, they currently (3/30/25), have it on sale for $12.80.  This may be a bit of a splurge product but it is worth it.  As always, be sure to test for allergic reaction before going all in.

Product Review:

L'Oreal Paradise Big Deal Volumizing and Lengthning Waterproof Mascara

I am a well known mascara lover.  Many days I feel complete with just mascara and lip and/or gloss.  Mascara just adds that little bit of glamour that makes you feel beautiful and put together.  Now, with that said, my eyes tend to water A LOT when I laugh, so I prefer to wear waterproof mascara so I am not looking like a raccoon all day.  However, I like this one so much, I purchased the regular as well as the waterproof version (they were out of the waterproof when I went to purchase it, so I tried the regular and still loved it).  It definitely lengthens and defines my lashes and it separates well, without clumps.  I hate when mascara clumps, as most do.  I have expensive and drug store brand mascara and this drug store brand performs just as well or better than some of those high end brands that we have in our makeup organizers.  It is buildable, but feel doesn't feel heavy on my lashes.  L'Oreal states that it is "suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers."  However, as with any product, you should always use caution and perform tests if you any sensitivity.  It retails currently for $16.99.  Ulta has it on sale right now for $11.19 (3/29/25), which is a bargain!  So, give it a try and be glam without spending a fortune.

Inn Beauty Project-Pore Refine

Pore Refine by Inn Beauty Project is a product that was a game changer! This product was recommended by a rep at a popular beauty retailer because I explained to her that I had been having issues with my skin, in particular rough, uneven texture.  I am also breakout prone, so I needed something that could help with my texture issues and prevent breakouts.  Well, this product did that and then some!  I often use it as my moisturizer too as it seems to be hydrating, though it is not touted to be a moisterizer.  I can use this along or under makeup for a smooth application.

Inn Beauty Project's Product Description:

AHA + BHA treatment serum for visibly smoother pores & skin texture

Clinically proven to smooth rough, bumpy texture

Visibly de-gunks & tightens pores for clearer, smoother skin

Clinically proven to reduce the look of enlarged pores

I must agree that, in my opinion and from months or use, this product helps to smooth and de-gunk the skin, while giving it a smoother, more vibrant appearance.  It is definitely a product that I will keep in my skincare routine. It also lasted quite a while so I am happy about that!  I just ran out, so I will be purchasing more soon.  The product retails for $42.00 and is available online and at most major beauty retailers.
